How long have you been making and selling hair pieces?

I've been making and selling hairpieces of all sorts, since November 2001.

How many people are staffed at your company to work on orders?

This company is operated and maintained, solely, by me,
Magdalena.

All hair pieces are hand-contructed by me, and do take some time to put together.   So please keep in mind that this not a big company.   I am only one woman, and take on as much work, as I can handle at a time.

If you feel that the processing times are too long of a wait, then I recommend going with a bigger company, that handles more volume.   You may get your order in a little faster.

Product quality?

I guarantee that you will be completely satisfied with whatever type of hair piece, or extensions, that you purchase.

Sample
dreadlocks are available.   Just order a few individual dreads, to see what they look like in person.   That way before purchasing a whole bunch, you know whether they are to your liking.

I also do free custom color matching, by a hair sample from the buyer, or example pics, etc.   This service cannot be guaranteed to be completely accurate.   Although, it will be closer then with just one color used.

I take pride in my work, and will only send out quality items that I would wear myself.

How do I cover up & secure the base/nubbin of my silky falls?

After you get your falls in, by using the method for elastic-band mounted falls, you can wrap mesh material, scarves, scrunchies, etc, around the base of your fall[s].   Using bobby or hair pins will help, as well.

Are my falls washable? If so, how?

If your falls become dirty, or too smelly to handle, dip them into a sink with cool water, mixed with diluted shampoo.   Do not use conditioner, meant for human hair, on them, as it will build up on the hair, and make it become very greasy to sight, and touch.   Put them in an airy place, to hang dry when done.   When they are completely dry, it is okay to brush them, using a wide-tooth detangling comb or brush.   If you do so before they are dry, you will have a really nasty, tangled wad of hair.   It may ruin your falls, or give them a "ratty" look.

I recommend only washing loose falls, if they become really gross.   If the ends are ratty, and tangled, just snip them off.   It really is not necessary to wash them.   Spritzing them with a wig or sheen spray, can really prolong the life, look, and feel, of your falls.

Dreadlocks may be washed, pretty much the same way as loose falls.   Or even put them through the washing machine on delicate-.   They may start to look a little ratty after too many washings, and could also begin to unravel.   To avoid washing them, try just hanging the dreads up, outside on the clothes-line.   You may even try spritzing them with Febreeze, as I have found that to work wonderfully.

I do not recommend washing your silky curls unless absolutely necessary.
If you brush them, they will lose their shape, and become very messy looking.   Unless, of course, that is the look you are going for.

How do I care for my falls?

I recommend storing your falls in the packaging, that you receive them in or even in some plastic bags.   You may try putting them in a clothes-closet, so the bags hang down, and the hair doesn't get folded, and bent out of shape.   You can also just lay them flat in a drawer, or some type of storage container.   Just try not to keep them folded up for a long period of time.   You will certainly notice the difference between falls that were kept in plastic, as opposed to being left out.

For tangled, ratty falls, you can use a wig sheen spray or even some diluted leave-in conditioner.   The better you take care of them, the longer they will last.

How do I stop my dreads from unraveling?

If you have temporary dread fall[s], you need to secure the base of the fall somehow.   You'll have to improvise.   Get a comb with the tiniest teeth, meaning really close together.   For instance, a rattail comb, or a teasing comb. backcomb the dread "packing the hair in place".   This helps, give the dread something to "hold onto" before you try to re-seal it.

To re-seal, you have a few options.   You can use a hair dryer, and a water bottle.   So, that you can creat tension at the base of the fall.   As to be able to hold the dread all twisted up before trying to reseal.

So, back to the spray bottle... spray, and then apply heat, while having the dread twisted tightly.   Continue until you feel that it seems to stay in place after letting go of the dread. Or, you can boil water, and dunk dreads into that while keeping them twisted, as with above.   It gets rather tricky. tho, as you will need some tools, like pliers, or something, to use to hold the dread at both ends while dunking into the water.   Or if you have a tea kettle that shoots out a "stream" of steam, you can hold the dread infront of the "path" of the steam, while having it hold twisted tightly. The only thing with the hair dryer, verses, the water/steaming methods, is that though it may be easier, it can also melt the hair, if you are not careful.

With individual extension dreads, it is a bit easier, using any of the above methods, as the dreads are not group together.
